My girlfriend and I are traveling to New York City in may and are a looking for a deal in Manhattan. There seems to be a handful of decent rooms available that are under $200, but many of them have shared bathrooms. Having never stayed at such a hotel I am obviously a little apprehensive about this, so if you’ve stayed at a shared bathroom hotel what are they like in general?
i am planning to spend my christmas vacation in baguio city. i was looking for some hotel for me to book for a couple of days. i saw burnham hotel and it is the cheapest among the hotels in baguio city. but i want to know if this hotel is ok. does it have good service? the place it is nice and comfortable? and any other stuff that you are looking if you want your stay to be great. can anyone tell me? thanks in advance.

cheap to mid-priced?
I will be flying into a city in the afternoon and flying out the next morning. Because of the brevity of my stay, I decided to forgo booking a hotel. Aside from staying with friends (I haven’t any in the area) and meeting someone for the night, what sorts of things could I do to pass the time?
By Good I mean – good location for site-seeing/amenities and something that has a good level of cleanliness. I’m not looking for a luxury hotel but something that’s comfortable. Our budget is about £700 for a week.
I was wondering if anyone knows of what agency regulates a hotel license typically in the city or state? Also what government agency regulates the hotel industry?

I’m looking into booking a room for my birthday and I really want a room with a hot tub/jacuzzi…not just a tub with jets, mind you, but one big enough for two people 
Short of cold calling hotels, I thought I’d see if anyone had any experience. Price is no option, so include those five star ones if you’ve got any!!
