I’ve had friends in the service industry, in and around hotels, say that they get hit on by businessmen who ask them to go back to their hotel room.
How often does this happen to you? Have you ever accepted the offer? And, if so, was it a good experience or a bad experience?
I think it’s happened to me about 2-3 times in 9 years. They start with chit-chat about the weather and then get a weird look on their face and say something like “When do you get off work, I’m staying at *blah blah hotel*. I’d say something like “That’s a nice place.” Then they say “You’re welcome to join me.” I then say “Nice of you to offer, but I can’t. I have to go home and let the dog out.” That shuts them up.
