When I stay at hotels I notice that each day when the maid comes in she replaces the old toilet paper roll with a brand new one. Most of the time I’ve only used the restroom two or three times, that leaves about 95% of the roll unused. What do they do with all that unused TP?!?! If they throw it away, I think that is completely ridiculous and such a waste!

It does seem like an awful waste… especially since they only wash the comforters on the beds once a year. You’d think if they wanted everything to be new for each guest, theyd clean everything in the room too lol
they dont throw them away – they usually put them in storage and use them in the public bathroom in the lobby – or they use them in the employee lounge and area like that – not all hotels do this all the time – a lot of hotels will set a roll on the back of the toilet or set the used roll on the back of the toilet – for future use
No , we put it in a closet, and when we are low or someone forgot to order a new supply, we always know we have a back up, we do this with paper towels also.
The maid probably takes it home.
Maybe the staff all takes it home?
Around here, they don’t do that. They have 1 roll going, another one there, in case the first runs out. I have noticed that if the first roll gets really, really low, they’ll add a second new roll to the room.
