C;ick the link below to read reviews of my favorite place to stay on the Riveria Maya the Posada Luna del Sur. At $64 per night, I can afford a rental car to drive myself from the Cancun airport to Tulum and then on different days drive to Coba, Xel-ha and Xcaret–going when I feel like it and returning when I feel like it.
The only downside is that there are only 12 rooms and many people love this place, so sometimes it may be difficult to get a room for the week you want.
Click the “Thins to do” and “Restaurants” links on the left hand side to see what else is good in Tulum.
I can’t say what one is the best, but the one I recommend that I think is superb is Barcelo Maya Beach Resort. It’s going to be hard to find something in that price range for the Riviera Maya, but you may be able to get a special deal if you shop around. Good luck to you and enjoy your time!!!
i’m not sure of the prices, but either estencia, just north of akumal.
or maroma, near puerto morelos.
